Saints Roll Past DME Academy
The Saints sizzle from behind the arc all night to spearhead a lopsided victory.
Gainesville, FL- Two weeks ago Santa Fe and DME Academy faced-off in a tough match. The Saints emerged victorius with a 10 point victory. This time around the Saints left no doubt that they were the better team tonight. From the start of the game, #3 Khaleah Douglas made her presence felt as she buried 4 triples in the first period alone. Her 14 first period points outscrored the entire DME team to start the game. #2 Camryn Robinson added 6 points of her own to help build a 21 point lead by period end. In the second period, five different Saints hit 3 point shots to increase the lead further. DME Academy struggled heavily to keep up with the Saints offensively and defensively, scoring only 14 in the entire first half.
In the second half, DME picked up the pace lead by #2 Brooks, who had 13 second half points (19 total). #22 Kelley also battled down low by grabbing offensive rebounds and being in good position to score much needed layups for DME. She had 8 second half points, finishing with 12 points for the game. Eight different Saints scored baskets in the third period as the lead grew to over 40 points. The Saints were able to hold on to a big lead, emerging victorious by a score of 89-51.

"We played the best we've played all year. Offensively we moved and shared the basketball. We have been stressing to our players "We Over Me". I was much more pleased with our defense, especially in the first half. If we can continue to play that way and grow, we will make solid strides.
