Santa Fe College falls to Pensacola State 68-59 in the first game of the 2024-2025 season. The Pirates held a 30-29 lead at the half, but it was Santa Fe that took a two-point lead heading into the final quarter. A 25-point fourth quarter led Pensacola past the Saints on opening night in the NJCAA.
Madyson Burney led the Saints in scoring with 19 points, as she knocked in four three-pointers. Yanija Lawson added 14 points offensively for the Saints.
Santa Fe is back in action tomorrow afternoon in Gainesville against Central Pointe Christian Academy at 2:00 PM.
