
Santa Fe Knocks off Hillsborough
The Saints traveled to Hillsborough Community College on Saturday afternoon for their second to last road trip of the season.

The Saints used a big second quarter to gain a lead on their way to the win 80-75. There was no lack of scoring in the ball game as Santa Fe had a 23-22 lead after the first quarter. In the second quarter, the Saints outscored Hillsborough by eight taking a 44-35 lead into the halftime break. Hillsborough outscored Santa Fe in the third quarter, but Santa Fe was able to hold on in the fourth for the win. With the win, the Saints broke a 10-game losing streak.
The Saints had five players in double figures to help propel the offense to much success. Yanija Lawson and Aniyah Anderson both had 18 points in the win to lead the way for the Navy and White. Riana Callihan added 16 points, while Micah Hannah had 15 and Nakayla Green had 11 points in the win. This marks the first time this season that the Saints have had five players in double figures.
The Saints are back in action on February 22nd when Florida SouthWestern comes to town for a 2:00 PM tip.
