Bio

As a former high school All-American athlete and collegiate baseball player, Dr. Farmer recognized how important sports and exercise were to people. He earned his medical degree from the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine in 2003 before going on to complete a residency in orthopaedic surgery at The Johns Hopkins Hospital. As a physician, he believes all options should be discussed with patients. Throughout his career, Dr. Farmer has published 14 book chapters and 80 peer-reviewed publications in journals such as the Clinical Journal of Sports Medicine, the Journal of Bone and Joint Surgery, and Clinical Orthopedics and Related Research. He is also the editor of the “In-Season Management of Football Injuries” textbook.
