Ocala, FL – The Santa Fe Saints picked up a crucial road conference win Wednesday afternoon, run ruling Mid-Florida Conference front runners the College of Central Florida 11-1 in six innings. For the 2018 season, the MFC has adopted the NJCAA run rule of 10 runs after five innings or eight runs after seven innings for conference games. The win moves SF to 24-6 overall and 5-2 in the MFC.

For the 2018 season, the MFC has adopted the NJCAA run rule of 10 runs after five innings or eight runs after seven innings for conference games. The win moves SF to 24-6 overall and 5-2 in the MFC.
Max McKinley (5-0) was again stellar on the mound. Allowing just one run over six innings, his third complete game in a row. He's allowed just one run total over his last 24 innings pitched, striking our 22 with just two walks.
The big inning for the Saints came in the fifth when they plated seven runs, punctuated by a three run Andrew Eyster homerun, his third hit of the game.
Jarrett Pico, Mikey Navarete, and Garrett Mathes all had RBI in the inning.
SF added three insurance runs in the sixth on RBI by Parker Beiderer and Jarrod Cande.
The Saints had 14 hits as a team. Andrew Eyster finished the game 3-for-5 with three RBI and a homerun. Beiderer was 3-for-3 with two RBI rom the number nine spot in the lineup.
Santa Fe and Central Florida will match up again on Friday in Gainesville at 3:00 p.m.
