TALLAHASSEE, Fla. - Brooks Walton of Santa Fe College baseball has been chosen as the FCSAA/NJCAA Region 8 Pitcher of the Week, as announced Tuesday. 

The sophomore right-hander from Gainesville and Buchholz High School was phenomental in a 4-1 win at Tallahassee Community College on Jan. 28, allowing just one hit and one walk in six scoreless innings while compiling seven strikeouts. 

So far in 2021, Walton has started two games on the mound for the Saints, posting a 0.90 ERA in 10.0 innings pitched with 11 strikeouts.

Walton and the Saints will play at St. Petersburg at 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 3.
