
Make it Three: Bolton Becomes Third Saint to Commit to UNF
GAINESVILLE, Fla. – Pitcher Lance Bolton of Santa Fe College Baseball has made a commitment to attend the University of North Florida to play for the Ospreys, joining teammates Trent Becker and Gabriel Esquivel.
Bolton, a native of Jacksonville, Fla. who attended Atlantic Coast High School, just completed his third season with the Saints and was named to the All Mid-Florida Conference Second Team.
In 2022, the right-hander made 15 appearances on the mound with nine starts. In 53 innings pitched, Bolton posted a 4.42 ERA while striking out 59 hitters.
Bolton posted a record of 4-2, and also earned a save. He tossed one complete game, a 10-2 win over Daytona State on Apr. 20. No. 25's 10.02 K/9 ratio led all SF pitchers who threw more than 20 innings, and he struck out a career-high nine hitters against South Florida State College on Feb. 5.
UNF Baseball is coached by Tim Parenton, and the team currently holds an 18-26 mark overall and 8-13 record in the respected ASUN Conference.
