
No. 6 Baseball Takes Mid-Florida Conference Opener, 11-5 over Seminole
SANFORD, Fla. – The 2023 Mid-Florida Conference schedule got underway on Wednesday for No. 6 Santa Fe College Baseball, and after a week off, the Saints' bats stayed hot in an 11-5 win over Seminole State College.

A GAME-CHANGING PLAY…
The Saints established a 6-0 lead, but Seminole State (15-10, 0-1 MFC) surged to draw within a single run, 6-5, headed into the seventh inning.
That is when Zeth Rodriguez helped the Saints stem the tide, as the third baseman crushed a three-run homerun to center field in the top of the seventh frame to plate Jahlani Rogers and JP Herrholz as well…
It was the third long ball for Rodriguez this season.
TEAM COMPARISON
The Saints had nine hits compared to eight for the Raiders.
