
No. 4 Central Florida Wins Final Game in Series, 12-4
GAINESVILLE, Fla. – The No. 4 College of Central Florida offense continued its torrid pace, and completed a sweep of No. 4 Santa Fe Baseball with a 12-4, seven-inning win on the SF Baseball Field.
It was the second consecutive 12-4 victory for the Patriots over the Saints. After SF won the first two matchups in the season series, CF responded to widen its Mid-Florida Conference lead with four wins over the Saints this week.
GAME-CHANGING PLAYS…
CF led 5-4 after five innings of play, but the Patriots broke it open with four runs in the sixth.
After a two-run home run, the Saints were able to record two outs but couldn't get out of the frame.
TEAM COMPARISON
CF had 13 hits to five for SF, and the Patriots once again did damage with the long ball, hitting four.
The Patriots' starting pitcher Brian Holiday struck out 12 Saints in the complete game win.
