
Saints Run Rule State College of Florida
State College of Florida traveled to Gainesville, Florida to open the conference series versus Santa Fe.

The Saints scored early and often on State College of Florida winning 15-7 in eight innings. Santa Fe hit around in the top of the first inning scoring nine runs. The Saints had gotten to the seventh batter in the lineup before State College of Florida was able to record an out. The Saints held a 9-0 lead into the top of the third inning. A four-run inning for State College of Florida helped cut the deficit, but SF was able to add two runs in the bottom half to push the lead back to seven runs. A solo run in the fourth pushed the lead to 12-4. State College of Florida added three runs in the sixth, but it wasn't enough as the Saints scored three total runs in the next three innings for the run-rule win.
Five Saints had a multi-ht afternoon, highlighted by Griffin Sorrow. Sorrow went 4-5 scoring two runs and driving in three. Robert Nedry went 3-4 with two runs batted in and one run scored. Tucker Hansen drove in three runs on two hits and scored twice. The Saints had five doubles on the afternoon. Nick Staszak got the start and win for Santa Fe. Staszak went 6.0 innings allowing six hits and seven runs (six earned runs) while striking out seven. Stephen Joyce finished the game with 2.0 innings, four K's, and allowing one hit.
