Gainesville, FL – Santa Fe freshman Sam Brown had the best game of his young career on Wednesday afternoon, scoring 10 points to go with 11 rebounds, four steals, and a block to lead the Saints to a convincing 113-60 win over Rising Stars Academy.

Gainesville, FL – Santa Fe freshman Sam Brown had the best game of his young career on Wednesday afternoon, scoring 10 points to go with 11 rebounds, four steals, and a block to lead the Saints to a convincing 113-60 win over Rising Stars Academy.
The FCSAA #10 ranked Saints started fast and led 24-9 after a layup by Brown at the 11:30 minute mark and stretched it out to a 20 point advantage on a three pointer by Brady Fernandes three minutes later.
RSA answered with a 10-0 run to cut the deficit to 34-24 but a 24-2 run by SF to end the half gave them their largest lead of the game at 55-26.
Santa Fe (9-5) continued to pour it on in the second half, making seven three pointers to go with the 11 thy made in the first half. They outscored Rising Stars Academy 55-34 over the final 20 minutes to finish off the 53 point win.
Nick Peacock lead all scorers with 20 points, Brady Fernandes had 17, Ivan Smith scored 15 and dished out nine assists, Elias Eerikinharju had 15 points, D-Juan Taylor-Hodge 15 points and seven rebounds, and Sean Flood scored 12.
As a team the Saints had 15 steals and outrebounded RSA 46-30.
Santa Fe will be back in action on Saturday at home against Plk State College at 2:00 p.m.
