Gainesville, FL – Following the conclusions of their seasons, both the women’s and men’s basketball teams saw players honored for their on the court efforts this past season. Four men’s players and four women’s players were honored by the Mid-Florida Conference, and one women’s player, Stephanie Jackson, was named FCSAA All-State.

Ocala, FL – It just wasn’t the Santa Fe Saints night on Tuesday in Ocala, as the Central Florida Patriots shot over 64% from the field in the Mid-Florida Conference Tournament final, defeating SF 105-82.

Gainesville, FL – The FCSAA #7 Santa Fe Saints (21-10) took care of business on Monday evening in Gainesville, defeating Daytona State College in the first round of the Mid-Florida Conference Tournament, setting up a date with the College of Central Florida tomorrow night at 7:00 p.m. in Ocala. The winner of that game will advance on to the FCSAA State Tournament, also in Ocala, March 7-10.

The loss is the first at home this season for the Saints who are now 11-1 in the SF Gym.

Daytona, FL – In a game that saw two fouls called in the last three seconds of a one point game the FCSAA #9 Santa Fe Saints came out on top over #8 Daytona State, making two free throws with 0.3 seconds left to win their eighth game in a row. The victory moves SF to 14-5 overall and 2-0 in the Mid-Florida Conference. The winning streak is now over a month and dates back to December 9. The Saints last loss came on December 2.

Gainesville, FL – In his first game action of the season, Santa Fe sophomore Sean Dinkins took little time to get acclimated, scoring a game high 22 points to lead the FCSAA #10 Saints (13-5, 1-0 MFC) past Mid-Florida Conference rivals Florida State College-Jacksonville, 89-70 in both team’s conference opener. Dinkins was an efficient 10-for-13 from the field and the post player even nailed two three pointers.

Gainesville, FL – Santa Fe freshman Sam Brown had the best game of his young career on Wednesday afternoon, scoring 10 points to go with 11 rebounds, four steals, and a block to lead the Saints to a convincing 113-60 win over Rising Stars Academy.
