Men's Basketball Rakes in Central Conference Honors
TALLAHASSEE, Fla. - Santa Fe College men's basketball (24-5, 12-3 Central), the 2021-2022 Central Conference Champions, had five players receive All-Central Conference honors.
Additonally, there were two special awards, including Head Coach Chris Mowry as the Central Conference Coach of the Year and Bradley Douglas as the Player of the Year.

Head Coach Chris Mowry, 2021-2022 Central Conference Coach of the Year
In his 19th season at Santa Fe, Head Coach Chris Mowry had one of his best seasons with the program to garner Coach of the Year honors.
- It is Coach Mowry's fifth conference Coach of the Year award during his time at SF, and fifth conference title
- In 2021-2022, Mowry won his 350th game at SF with a 68-53 win over Eastern Florida on Jan. 29 | Recap
- The Saints were a perfect 15-0 on their home floor
- SF has found success from beyond the arc all season long, and ranks No. 20 in the NJCAA in three-pointers made per game (9.1)
- The Saints's defense under Mowry has also been stingy, holding opponents to just 38.6 percent shooting from the field, the tenth lowest percentage allowed in the NJCAA
- SF has won six consecutive games headed into postseason play

- Scoring in double-digits in 26 of 29 games, including four games in which he eclipsed 20 points

Santa Fe College men's basketball now knows its matchup for the upcoming FCSAA/NJCAA Region VIII State Tournament, as the No. 5 seeded Saints will play the No. 4 seeded Florida Southwestern State College to tip-off postseason play.
The Saints and Bucs will square off at Northwest Florida State College's Raider Arena in Niceville, Fla. at 9:00 p.m. (EST), 8:00 p.m. (CST) on Wednesday, Mar. 2.
