Buccaneers Get Past Santa Fe
Gainesville, Florida- The Saints came up short at home in a hard fought game Tuesday night, dropping a 87-76 decision to Florida Southwestern. Pazmino hit five triples as he recorded 19 points for the Saints, while Trowe hit three triples as he recorded 14 points. Karmello Branch and Tre Munson both scored 13 points each. Jaehshon Thomas led all scorers with 25 points as Tyrone Baker added 22 points of his own.
How It Happened
Kevin Pazmino struck first by hitting his first triple only seconds into the game giving the Saints an early lead. Tre Munson hit two timely triples to help cut down the Bucs lead as they attempted to stretch their lead after taking it early in the first half. Jaehshon Thomas scored early and often, while Tyrone Baker hit twp triples in a row as the Bucs went up by 13 points going into the second half (55-39).
In the second half the Bucs stretched their lead to as much as 19 points. With just under 12:00 minutes to go, the Saints began to storm back recording big dunks from Karmello Branch, Macius Trowe, and Chris Heard. The Saints were ale to cut the lead down to 9 points, but thats as close as they were able to get. Even though the Saints outscored the Bucs in the seconf half (46-44), they couldn't overcome the large deficit established early on by the Bucs as they would go on to win with a final score of 87-76.

"I thought it was a hard fought game by both teams tonight. FSW has outstanding guards and great size and athleticism in the front court. We struggled to keep them off the glass, especially in the first half. They shot the ball very well from the field and free throw line. We did a lot of good things offensively, shot the three at a high percentage and really shared the ball. If we are able to improve on the defensive end of the floor, we'll be able to come out on top of some of our remaining games.
