
Saints Moving On: Men’s Basketball
The Santa Fe Men’s Basketball Program is under new leadership for the first time since Chris Mowry joined the staff in the early 2000’s.

The Santa Fe Men's Basketball team has sent nine players to four-year institutions in the last two seasons. Kordell Brown, Cole Deptula, Nasir Mann, Nigel Martin, and Niko Noumeros highlight the group of former Saints finding success in their new homes.
Kordell Brown is currently in his second year at Columbus State University. In the 2023-24 season, Brown averaged 7 points per game, while shooting 55% from the field. He was named to the All-Peach Belt Conference Tournament Team. His best performance in his first season included an 18-point and 11-rebound double-double versus Georgia College. In his second season, Brown is averaging 8.6 points a contest and had a season-high 18 points versus Miles College early this season. Against Mount Olive, Brown recorded his second double-double of his career with a 12-point and 10-rebound performance.
Cole Deptula is currently in his second season at Young Harris College. Deptula started 24 of the 27 games he played in the 2023-2024 season. In 2023-2024, Deptula averaged 14.7 points a game, shooting 44% from the field and 76% from the free throw line. Deptula had a career-high 24 points versus Mars Hill. Deptula is averaging 9.2 points a game in his second season with a season-high of 21 points versus Francis Marion.
Nasir Mann is in his second season following his career at Santa Fe. Mann began his journey at McNeese State in Louisiana but transferred to Queens University of Charlotte for the 2024-2025 season. At McNeese State, Mann appeared in four games, averaging 7.5 points. In the 2024-25 season, Mann is currently averaging 7 points a game. Mann started the season hot with a 14-point and 10-rebound performance in the opening game against Lynchburg.
Nigel Martin is currently in his second season at Indian Tech. Martin had a breakout season in 2023-24 averaging 17.5 points a contest and setting a new career-high with a 31-point game versus Madonna. In the 2024-25 season, Martin is averaging 4.5 points a game.
Niko Noumeros is currently playing ball at Wayland Baptist, after coming from Francis Marion University in his first season after SF. While at Francis Marion University, Noumeros averaged 3.5 points a game in the 2023-24 season. Noumeros then made a transfer to Wayland Baptist for the 2024-2025 season, where he is currently averaging 8.5 points a game. Noumeros showed out against Our Lady of the Lake when he recorded a 14-point, 11-rebound double-double.
