
SF Falls Short at Polk
Santa Fe traveled to Winter Haven, Florida for a Saturday afternoon conference ball game.

It took 45 minutes to determine the winner in a Saturday afternoon thriller between Santa Fe and Polk State as the Eagles knocked off SF 75-70 in overtime. Polk State jumped out to a 37-26 lead at the halftime break. The Saints would bounce back in the second half to bring the game to a tie at 59 at the end of regulation. An exciting last five minutes favored the Eagles as they walked away with a big home conference win over Santa Fe.
Santa Fe had a slow start from the FCSAA leading scorer, Karmello Branch, but Branch had a 15-point second half to help lead the charge. Branch finished with 18 points. Ryan Webster did a majority of scoring in the first half leading the Saints with 10 first-half points and 18 in the ball game. Predrag Panisic and Connor Morris also were in double figures. Morris finished with 15 points, while Panisic finished with 13 points.
Santa Fe is in action on Wednesday night at Florida SouthWestern. Tip-off is scheduled to begin at approximately 7:00 PM.
