Softball Has Seven Earn Mid-Florida Conference Recognition
TALLAHASSEE, Fla. - After Santa Fe Softball played their way to a second place finish in the Mid-Florida Conference regular season, seven Saints have been recognized by league coaches as All Mid-Florida Conference performers.

In Head Coach Savanah Webster's first season with the Saints, SF posted an overall record of 32-19 with a 13-7 mark in the MFC. The Saints held a 21-6 record on their home field, and the 32 wins overall surpassed the mark of 31 in 2021, continuing the program's upward trajectory.
Two saints were selected to the First Team at their respective positions, Story Giebeig and Darian Ingram, while Jayelyn Carter, Riley Schnyder, Keeli Zingaro, Abrianna Hickox, and Sophie Abrams were chosen to the Second Team.
"I am extremely proud and happy for these student-athletes," expressed Webster. "They have showed up every day, been great teammates, worked hard on and off the field and are beyond deserving of this accolade."
STORY GIEBEIG, FIRST TEAM (INF)
- The everyday third baseman for the Saints, playing all 51 games while batting from the heart of the order in her second season with SF
- The Lake City, Fla. native and Columbia High School graduate connected for 51 hits in 144 at-bats for a .354 batting average, a .462 on-base percentage, and a .681 slugging percentage
- Produced a team-high 59 RBI, ranking third in the FCSAA
- Tied for the team lead with 12 home runs to rank second in the FCSAA
- Showed patience at the plate and was walked on a team-high 31 occasions, the third-highest total in the FCSAA
- Had two separate six-game hitting streaks
- Accounted for three or more RBI in ten games for the Saints' cause
- Had two home runs in the non-conference series with Hillsborough, including a Grand Slam
- Came through for the game-winning RBI against Lake-Sumter on Mar. 22
- Played a part in seven double-plays and had a fielding percentage of .939 from the hot corner

DARIAN INGRAM, FIRST TEAM (P)
- A Chiefland, Fla. product and graduate of Trenton High School that completed her first season with the Saints
- Made 25 appearances and 23 starts from the circle
- Posted a 12-8 record overall with 11 complete games
- Owned a 2.97 ERA
- Had three complete game shutouts, where she conceded just two hits in each outing (FSCJ - Feb. 5, EFSC - Mar. 1, TCC - Mar. 8)
- Ranked No. 4 in the FCSAA and No. 30 in the NJCAA in strikeouts with 142
- Recorded three games with double-digit strikeouts, including a season-high 13 K's against Lake-Sumter on Mar. 22

JAYELYN CARTER, SECOND TEAM (OF)
- A Gainesville native selected to the Second Team All Mid-Florida Conference for the second time in her career after three seasons with the Saints
- Played in 40 games, starting in center field and hitting from first or second in the order
- Led the team in runs scored with 48 (No. 13 in the FCSAA) and on-base percentage at .490 (No. 12 in the FCSAA)
- Had 45 hits in her 122 at-bats for a .369 batting everage
- Produced ten multi-hit games
- Held a 12-game hitting streak from Mar. 19 - Apr. 10
- Used her speed to swipe 24 bases to rank second on the team
- Played a role in two double plays on the year with solid play from center field
- Surpassed 100 career runs at SF, moving into fourth in program-history with a total of 102

RILEY SCHNYDER, SECOND TEAM (OF)
- An outfielder from Newberry, Fla. and Santa Fe High School in her second season with the Saints
- Played in 50 games, stationed primarily as a steady left-fielder
- Ranked No. 3 on the team with 47 hits, which included 12 doubles, three triples, and two home runs
- Accounted for 25 RBI
- Posted noteworthy numbers in walks (20), stolen bases (12), batting average (.343), on-base percentage (.425), and slugging percentage (.518)
- Put together a nine-game hitting streak from Feb. 25 to Mar. 17
- Chose the right time for her two home runs on the season, which included a three-run shot on Mar. 22 in a 3-0 win over Lake-Sumter, and a walkoff solo bomb to leadoff the bottom of the seventh inning in a thrilling, 14-13 win over Seminole State in the MFC Tournament

KEELI ZINGARO, SECOND TEAM (INF)
- Originally from Archer, Fla. and a graduate of Trenton High School
- Finished her first season with the Saints, playing in all 51 games as the everyday first baseman and a dangerous bat at the heart of the order
- Led SF in hits (58), doubles (13), triples (4), batting average (.384), and slugging percentage (.682)
- Ranked second on SF with 51 RBI and 24 walks
- Her 41 runs scored ranked No. 3 on the team, as did her eight home runs
- Began the season with a nine-game hitting streak
- Produced 15 multi-hit games
- Played a part in nine double-plays defensively and posted a .986 fielding percentage
- Had a walk-off double to sweep the doubleheader against State College of Florida on Feb. 15
- Saved some of her best for last, smacking three home runs and totaling seven RBI in the MFC Tournament against Seminole State

ABRIANNA HICKOX, SECOND TEAM (C)
- A second-year freshman from Callahan, Fla. and West Nassau High School
- Played in 50 games, seeing time behind the plate as catcher and also as a designated player with a solid bat
- Had 40 hits in her 134 at-bats for a .299 batting average
- Connected for 12 extra-base hits, including eight doubles, one triple, and three home runs
- Ranked No. 3 for the Saints with 39 RBI
- Caught four baserunners stealing defensively
- Recorded hits in her first six appearances of the season
- Belted two home runs, including a walkoff, to account for six RBI in a 10-0 win over Eastern Florida State College on Mar. 1

- Abrams is from Jacksonville, Fla. where she attended Atlantic Coast High School
- Completed her first season with the Saints in 2022
- Made 31 appearances from within the circle, starting 24 games
- Held a record of 13-7 as the Saints' pitching leader in wins and innings pitched (135.2)
- Tossed nine complete games
- Owned a 3.71 ERA
- Struck out 87 batters, including a season-high eight on two separate occasions
- Threw ten scoreless innings on her birthday in a doubleheader sweep over Daytona State College on Apr. 9
