
Softball Downed in Game 1 with No. 10 Seminole State
GAINESVILLE, Fla. – Santa Fe College Softball started the final Mid-Florida Conference series of the 2023 season on Thursday, hosting No. 10 Seminole State College.
The Saints needed a sweep of the Raiders to maintain their postseason hopes, but instead, Seminole State secured their spot as the No. 2 seed from the MFC and eliminated the Saints from postseason contention with a 19-7, five-inning win.
GAME-CHANGING PLAYS
The Raiders broke the game open with 11 runs in the third inning, taking a 17-2 lead.
Seminole had 15 batters come to the plate, and scored seven runs in the frame before SF was able to record its first out.
