Santa Fe traveled to Tallahassee State College for an in region, nonconference game against TSC on Saturday afternoon.

In game one of the doubleheader Santa Fe used the bats to take a 11-7 win over TSC. The Saints jumped out early to a four-run first inning capped by a two-run homerun by Madison Conway. Santa Fe added one more in the top of the second inning to take a 5-0 lead through four innings. In the fifth, SF scored four runs to take a 9-0 lead, with a chance to run rule the Eagles. TSC would not allow that to happen as they put up a four spot in the bottom half of the fifth. The sixth inning stayed quiet for both squads as SF scored two runs in the top of the seventh to extend the lead. Tallahassee battle in the bottom of the seventh but came up short after the three-run bottom half.
Ryleigh Bauer went the distance in the ball game allowing five hits and seven runs (one earned run). Nauer struck out four Eagles and walked just one in her 7.0 innings pitched. Karris Rhine, Conway, Brooke Markiewicz, and Cam VanGalder each had three hits at the dish. VanGalder led the team driving in three RBI at the plate. Conway and Markiewicz added two RBI. On the base path's Tegan Grizzard stole one bag, which puts her at ten on the year.
In game two the Saints built a seven-run lead and were able to hold on for a 7-0 win. The Saints scored a solo run in the top of the first, before a four spot in the second inning. The Saints did not stop there as they scored two more in the third inning before they were held scoreless in the fourth and fifth innings.
The Saints were led by Karris Rhine and Ryleigh Bennett at the plate. Rhine went 2-4, scoring two runs and driving in three. Rhine hit a homerun and triple on the afternoon. Bennett went 2-3, scoring one run and driving one run in. Bennett was also in the circle for game two as she went the 7.0 innings allowing seven hits and striking six out.
The Saints are back in action on Thursday at home versus Florida State College at Jacksonville. The doubleheader is set to start at 1:00 PM.
