Melbourne, FL
The Saints struggled to find a rhythm offensively in the Thursday afternoon doubleheader, losing game one 4-1. Eastern Florida State College scored four runs before Santa Fe scored their first run in the top of the seventh inning. The Titans scored one run in the first and third innings, before two runs in the fifth inning.
Karris Rhine had the only two hits in the game for Santa Fe. Rhine when 2-3 scored the only run of the game for SF. Ryleigh Bauer started and went 6.0 innings allowing seven hits and four runs (one earned run). Bauer walked one and struck out two.
In game two of the doubleheader, the Saints fell 5-1. Eastern Florida used a four-run third inning to propel themselves to a 5-0 lead. The Saints scored one in the fifth to cut the deficit.
Madison Conway went 3-4 in game two to lead all Saints. McKenzie Jewell and Brooke Markiewicz both had one hit. Ryleigh Bennett went 6.0 innings allowing six hits and five runs (three earned runs). Bennett walked two and struck out one.
The Saints host Polk State College on Saturday at 1:00 PM for a doubleheader.
