In game one of the doubleheader, it was all Santa Fe running away with a 9-0 win in five innings. The Saints scored two in the first and five in the second to take an early lead. One run in the third and fourth innings helped the Saints run away from Polk State to win 9-0. 

McKenzie Jewell did McKenzie Jewell like things going 2-3 with three runs scored, five runs batted in, and two homeruns. Tegan Grizzard was the only other Saint to have two hits in the game. Karris Rhine, Madison Conway, and Brooke Markiewicz all had one run batted in. Ryleigh Bauer started and went 5.0 innings in the shutout. Bauer allowed just three hits while striking out two and walking two.

In game two Polk State jumped out with different energy to take a 5-3 win. The Eagles scored three runs in the first two innings to take the early lead. A two-run second inning helped the Saints cut the lead to 3-2. The Saints knotted the game up in the fifth with a run. In the top of the sixth inning, Polk State scored two more to take and hang on to a 5-3 lead.

In game two Rhine went 2-3 with one run scored and one run batted in. Both Rhine and Conway hit homeruns in the second game of the day. The Saints totaled just four hits in the game.SF threw three different pitchers. Ryleigh Bennett started and went 2.0 innings allowing three runs (two earned runs), before Belle Mancillas went 3.1 innings allowing two unearned runs and striking out three. Ryleigh Bauer finished the final 1.2 innings allowing just one hit.

The Saints are back in action on Tuesday when they travel to Hillsborough Community College for a doubleheader starting at 4:00 PM.
