Pedraza-Cupido of Women's Basketball Commits to Flagler

GAINESVILLE, Fla. – Sara Pedraza-Cupido of Santa Fe College Women's Basketball has committed to attend Flagler College.

Pedraza-Cupido joined the Saints after her prep career at Vero Beach Beach High School, where she was a three-sport athlete and a team captain for the women's basketball team.

In 2021-2022 at Santa Fe, the guard started the first three games of the season prior to suffering an injury. Pedraza-Cupido averaged 9.0 points and 6.5 rebounds per game in the first two outings for SF as a ballhandler,

Flagler College Women's Basketball is coached by Mo Smith, who started in 2019. The program competes in the NCAA Division II and the Peach Belt Conference, and Pedraza-Cupido will aim to help bolster the Saints' backcourt. 

Pedraza-Cupido is now the second women's basketball commitment to be announced on santafesaints.com.
