
Saints Fall at Daytona State
Santa Fe traveled to Daytona State College after winning two matches this past weekend.

Santa Fe College (10-8, 1-5) traveled to Daytona State College (8-8, 4-3) on Monday evening for a rescheduled match due to Hurricane Helene. Santa Fe jumped out to a two-set lead in the match before the Falcons won three straight to take home the win. The scores in the match were: 25-19, 25-20, 25-27, 25-27, 10-15.
The Saints fall to 10-8 on the year, 1-5 in the Citrus Conference, while Daytona State improves to .500 and 4-3 in the league. Kailyn Howard led the Saints at the net with 25 kills, a career-high. Howard is in her third game back after missing matches against Florida Southwestern and Miami Dade. Mariana Haas was also impressive for SF, as she had 19 kills.
In the Citrus Conference, Miami Dade and Florida Southwestern sit at the top. Miami Dade has one game on Florida Southwestern as the Bucs sit two games ahead of Eastern Florida. The Saints currently sit in 5th place in the Conference with round two of conference play around the corner.
Due to Hurricane Milton, the next time the Saints are in action is Monday, October 14th against Miami Dade College at 6:00 PM. That match is set to be played in Miami.
