Bio

Charles Ellis joined the Santa Fe Athletic Department in January 2025 and is currently a senior at the University of Florida majoring in Sports Management, set to graduate in May 2025. Born and raised in Oviedo, Florida, Charles started playing tennis in 6 th grade and played on the varsity team at Hagerty High School for 3 years. Under the teaching of 2 former collegiate head coaches, he discovered a passion for coaching and athletic administration.

He has remained an assistant tennis coach for 7 years at the program he trained at, working with students at summer camps when home from school. Following a brief stint as an
operations assistant at the University of Florida Athletic Association in external events, he joined Santa Fe hoping to gain the experience and skills necessary to fulfill his dream of being a collegiate athletic director. He is also a member of the college ministry leadership team at his church, gaining valuable experience in event planning, budgeting, and mentorship.

Career Aspirations

Charles plans to attend graduate school and pursue his Master’s Degree in Sports Management. After that, he plans to pursue a career in athletic administration, and eventually would like to teach at the collegiate level.
