Gainesville, FL – Santa Fe first baseman Leo Rodriguez had a monster day at the plate on Monday afternoon in Sanford for the NJCAA #15/FCSAA #3 Santa Fe Saints, blasting a home run along with two other hits in a five RBI effort. In all the Saints (26-9, 9-3 MFC) pounded out 15 hits, five homeruns, and scored 14 runs to clinch the three game series against Seminole State College.

SF won the first two games Wednesday and Friday before the Bluewave picked up the victory Saturday. The teams will meet for a fourth and final time on April 10 in Gainesville.

Baseball had one of their biggest early signings ever with seven student-athletes signing early with four year schools. All seven played a big part in last year’s success that saw the team set a school record with 42 wins, a Mid-Florida Conference Championship, a State/Region 8 Championship, and a JUCO World Series appearance.
