Saints Fall in Overtime to Palm Beach, 77-73
Gainesville, FL – Palm Beach State College avenged their earlier loss to Santa Fe on Friday evening, defeating the Saints in overtime 77-73. SF defeated the Panthers on November 7 in Lake Worth, 89-69.

Gainesville, FL – Palm Beach State College avenged their earlier loss to Santa Fe on Friday evening, defeating the Saints in overtime 77-73. SF defeated the Panthers on November 7 in Lake Worth, 89-69.
Morris Marshall did what he could for Santa Fe, scoring 24 to lead all scorers. Allen Baez played a solid game off the bench for the Saints, pitching in 16 points on 5-of-9 shooting.
SF (4-2) led by as many as seven late in the first half, but Palm Beach fought back over the final three minutes of the first frame to knot the score at 30-30.
The second half was all Palm Beach (4-1) from the outset, as the Panthers started on a 13-5 run to stake themselves to a 43-35 lead just three minutes in.
Morris Marshall single handedly led the Saints back into the game, scoring 10 straight points to flip the script and put SF up by two at the 15:00 minute mark.
From there the score is back and forth with six ties over the final 15 minutes, the final one coming on a three pointer from Palm Beach with 5.5second left.
In the overtime period the Saints struggled to find a rhythm and missed four of their six free throw attempts, while PBSC went 6-for-7 from the charity stripe, helping lead them to the four point win.
Michael Sanchez finished in double digits for Santa Fe, scoring 10 points, and Brandon Williams had eight points and 10 rebounds.
The Saints will be on the road in Tampa on Tuesday, November 18 taking on Hillsborough CC at 7:00 PM, and back in Gainesville on November 19 to face off with IMG Academy at 7:00 PM.
