Just a few weeks ago Daytona came to Gainesville and nailed 22 three pointers, but the Falcons were held in check today, going just 7-for-30 thanks to a stingy SF (12-12, 3-2 MFC) defense.
Santa Fe trailed at the half 32-31, but flipped the script on the Falcons, going off for 52 points in the final 20 minutes to pull away for the double digit win.
The Saints shot 42% from the field, and held DSC to 32% shooting.
Javon Heastie scored in double digits for SF, and more importantly went 6-for-6 from the free throw line. Benjy Dumornay had 11 points and seven rebounds.
The Saints will play their next game at home against the College of Central Florida on Wednesday, February 3 at 8:00 PM. The game can be seen live on www.santafesaints.com/saintssportsnetwork
