Saints Fall to Gulf Coast in Overtime Despite 15 from David Jones
Gainesville, FL – For the second night in a row the Santa Fe Saints took a tough Panhandle team to the brink, falling to Gulf Coast State College in overtime 77-68.

Gainesville, FL – For the second night in a row the Santa Fe Saints took a tough Panhandle team to the brink, falling to Gulf Coast State College in overtime 77-68.
The Saints (0-2) fell behind by 15 with nine minutes to go, but rallied to tie the game with 15 second remaining on an and one by David Jones. Jones missed the free throw for the lead, but SF held steady on defense, forcing the extra period.
In overtime the Commodores took the early momentum and rode it to the win.
"I'm proud of how hard we fought for the second day in a row to get back in the game," said Mowry. "We need to play better offensively in regards to turnovers and shot selection. Our guys are going to continue working hard."
D-Juan Taylor-Hodge finished with 15 points for SF, David Jones had 15, Josh Hawkins 13, and Darrell Jones 12.
The Saints will play one more game in Pensacola against Faith Baptist Prep on Saturday at 2:00 PM.
