Gainesville, FL – David-Lee Jones led a potent Santa Fe attack on Friday evening in Gainesville, scoring 18 points to lead SF to a 46 point victory over Impact Academy. The Santa Fe (3-3) defense got into the act in the second half, holding Impact to 10 total points.
Through the first half, the Saints struggled to really get things going but still took a 47-34 lead into the locker room.
"We missed too many open shots in the first half and didn't defend much either," said SF Coach Chris Mowry. "We were much better in all areas of the game in the second half. All 13 of our active guys made contributions tonight."
Santa Fe outscored Impact 43-10 in the second period, producing one of the best defensive half efforts in school history.
Nick Grier also finished in double figures, scoring 11 and Lazar Djurkovic had 10.
Next up for the Saints is a home match against Polk State College on Tuesday, November 22 at 7:00 PM.
