Gainesville, FL – The Santa Fe Saints hung with high powered Daytona State College for the first half on Saturday, but the Falcons were too much over the final 20 minutes, pulling away for an 86-65 win over SF (17-11, 2-6 MFC).

Gainesville, FL – The Santa Fe Saints hung with high powered Daytona State College for the first half on Saturday, but the Falcons were too much over the final 20 minutes, pulling away for an 86-65 win over SF (17-11, 2-6 MFC).
The score was just a one point game at the halftime break, with neither team able to get much going offensively.
In the second half the Falcons (23-6, 6-2 MFC) controlled the boards, scoring 57 points to turn a 29-28 lead into 21 point victory.
David-Lee Jones had his typical strong game, going for 23 points on 6-of-10 shooting, including four three pointers. Darrell Jones had a good effort off the bench, scoring 12 points to go with six rebounds.
Santa Fe took 34 three pointers, but connected on just eight.
The Saints will play their final game of the season on Wednesday, February 22 against rivals College of Central Florida at 8:00 PM.
