Daytona pulls away from Saints; 84-66
It was a close game for the first 36 minutes, but a three-point play by Zubair Seyed put Daytona up 73-62 lead with 3:30 to go and the Falcons outscored the Saints 11-4 the rest of the way to earn the win.
"The guys played their tails off tonight against a very talented Daytona team," said SF Head Coach Chris Mowry. "They were able to string some possessions together late and we struggled taking care of the basketball."
Admir Besovic led the Saints with 18 points while Ivan Smith chipped in with 17, Noah Thorp 16 and Brady Fernandes 13.
"I am very pleased with our effort tonight," said Mowry. "We did a lot of good things. We need to get healthy."
The Saints (11-7, 1-1 MFC) will get right back at it Thursday night when they host PHS Academy in a game scheduled to tip off at 7:00 pm.
"How we react tomorrow will tell us a lot about ourselves." Said Mowry.
