The Santa Fe Saints jumped out to a 20-4 lead and held off the Blue Wave to get a 54-46 win in the last regular season game of the year for both teams in Jacksonville Saturday afternoon.

SF (14-15, 6-6 MFC) will advance to the Mid-Florida Conference tournament and will face Daytona State College in Daytona Monday night at 7 pm.

On Saturday, the Saints came out red hot and built a 20-4 lead before the Blue Wave made a run to cut the Saints lead to 25-20 at the half.

Both teams played evenly in the second half with FSC-J getting to with three points 46-43 late in the game. The Saints tightened up on defense and rediscovered their shooting touch to close out the win.

"We hit a few shots and got multiple stops to finish out the game," said SF head coach Chris Mowry. "I'm Very happy for our team, FSC-J is really good defensively and played hard."

Ryan Leonard led the Saints with 13 points and Dejoun Small scored 11.
