Newport Richey, FL
Santa Fe knocked off Pasco-Hernando State College for the second time this season, and the first time at their place. The Saints used a late second-half push to jump to the 15-point road win. At the break SF led by ten, but Pasco cut that lead to just four with under nine minutes to play in the ball game. Santa Fe ran away with it from there outsourcing Pasco by 11 to end the game. SF made a season-high 14 three-pointers in the win. The Saints move to 4-6 after the win.
The Saints were led by the Sophomore guard, Karmello Branch. Branch scored 29 points en route to the victory, while Ryan Webster 14 points. Both Branch and Webster led the Navy and White in the assists column with five assists a piece. Webster is coming off a collegiate high of 23 against Mid-Florida Academy. This marks Branch's seventh game with 20 or more points. Joshua Watkins made his return from injury known as the only other in the Navy with double figures in the scoring column (12 points) while hauling in a team-high two offensive rebounds.
The Saints are back in action Thursday night as they travel to Florida Gateway College for a 7:00 PM tip.
