Gainesville, FL – The Santa Fe Saints won the Mid-Florida Conference for the third year in a row this season, and eighth time in the last 12 years in 2018, clinching with three games having yet been played.  In doing so, they were honored individually in four of the five major awards, seven All-MFC First Team members and one All-MFC Second Team.

Gainesville, FL – The NJCAA #1 Santa Fe Saints went on the road and won another tight game Wednesday afternoon, 7-6 in 11 innings over Daytona State. The game would go back and forth through the first seven innings with the game tied 6-6 at the end of seven. Both teams went scoreless in the 8th, 9th, and 10 innings.

Leesburg, FL – The NJCAA #2/FCSAA #4 Santa Fe offense continued their torrid pace on Wednesday afternoon in Leesburg, putting up another double digit effort in a 10-6 win over Lake Sumter State College.  The victory is the eighth in a row for the Saints (31-6, 12-2 MFC) and their fourth in a row with double digit runs.  They now have scored 10 or more runs in 14 contests this season, including seven of their last eight games.  During their eight game win streak they have scored 83 runs.

Kyler Marquis came up with the big one out, two run hit in the top of the ninth to score a pair of runs and turn a one run deficit into a 11-10 win. The victory moves SF to 28-6 on the season and 9-2 in the Mid-Florida Conference. Combined with the loss by St. John's River, Santa Fe now sits atop the MFC standings. Tyler Jones was superb in relief, pitching 3.2 innings in relief of Michael Paul to earn the win. He struck out five and scattered four hits, allowing one unearned run. Santa Fe looked like they may pull away when they put six on the board on the strength of a two run error by the Raiders and a two RBI single for Garrett Mathes. Seminole State came roaring back in the sixth with six runs to take their first lead of the game. In the ninth Marquis stumped the Raiders come back attempt with his RBI single to score Jarrod Cande and Zach Hand, the two late game heros from Monday's win. Marquis had a perfect day at the plate, going 4-for-4 with two RBI and a run scored. Andrew Eyster and Garrett Mathes had two hits each. Ocala, FL – The Santa Fe Saints picked up a crucial road conference win Wednesday afternoon, run ruling Mid-Florida Conference front runners the College of Central Florida 11-1 in six innings.  For the 2018 season, the MFC has adopted the NJCAA run rule of 10 runs after five innings or eight runs after seven innings for conference games.  The win moves SF to 24-6 overall and 5-2 in the MFC.

Gainesville, FL – Santa Fe pitcher Max McKinley was lights out on Saturday afternoon in the Saints (19-4, 1-0 MFC) Mid-Florida Conference opener, needing just 96 pitches to go the distance.  McKinley allowed just two hits and one walk and not a single Florida State College-Jacksonville player reached second base.  He set down 20 straight batters starting in the third inning and struck out seven Bluewave players in the game.

Gainesville, FL – In their final games before starting conference play, the Santa Fe Saints were locked in, putting up 37 runs in 14 innings of work against Inspiration Academy Post Grad on Monday in Gainesville.  They wrap up the nonconference portion of their schedule with an 18-4 record and a #2 FCSAA ranking.

Winter Haven, FL – Santa Fe sophomore pitcher Mitch Campion (3-0) was stellar on the mound for the FCSAA #2/Baseball America #14 Santa Fe Saints (14-2) Monday evening in Winter Haven, tossing seven shutout innings to earn the win over Polk State College.  Campion scattered four hits and struck out six.  He now has a 0.82 ERA in four starts and has allowed 0 runs in three of four starts.  His scoreless innings streak sits at 18.

Gainesville, FL – Santa Fe Saints sophomore outfielder Austin Bodrato picked up where he left off on Wednesday against St. Petersburg College, blasting a homerun on the first pitch he saw Friday afternoon, giving him homeruns on two consecutive pitches over the last two contests.  He would repeat the feat in the fifth, this time plating two runners on a three run shot.
